The shepherd made his way towards the downstairs commons, a towel draped around his neck. Things had been a mite peculiar lately - more than a mite really - and as such, he'd been neglecting to work out. It didn't help that his workout partner, Jayne, had been more or less the focus of the recent peculiarities. Of course, Jayne really couldn't workout too much while recovering from a bullet wound.
He walked past sickbay: the captain was in there with . . . that woman. It grated on him that he let himself be fooled by her. He dismissed the thought from his head and continued into the cargo bay.

After Inara had made the rounds and seen if anyone needed her assistance in settling in to Serenity as their new home, she headed back to the cargo bay, and eventually her shuttle. Though Mal liked to say that there was no need to dress for dinner, Inara almost always did, especially when the whole crew ate together and when they had guests.
She entered the Cargo Bay and saw a small object glisteningon the floor. It looked like a brooch of some kind. It was not hers and she thought it might belong to Lia so she picked it up and took a look at it. It was beautiful and very ornate with an Indian sort of design to it. She slipped it inher pocket to give back to her at supper.

As he looked up at the captain, he noticed something. Some of the lights were flickering, as if they may have gone off briefly while he was getting his workout gloves on. It was hard to tell in the cargo bay sometimes when the hatch was open. "Captain, I think she's already gone on her mission of mercy."

Inara say Shephard Book and smiled. "Shephard," she said and tucked the little brooch inher pocket. "How are you."
Their conversation was immediately interrupted by a voice. The voice that always seemed to disrupt her thoughts. Mal. She turned and saw the Captain. He seemed frustrated.
Inara heard Book mention Kaylee's "mission" and was curious. "Mission? WHat mission?" Inara looked mystified, glancing between Book and Mal.
Yeah, and then I fell. My head was hurt like Wash. I only fell is all.

Lia unpakced her things and quickly checked her weapons, making sure she had her small pistol concealed on her somewhere.
When she pulled out her few books, she noticed the brooch Lu had given her before she left was missing. "shit," she murmured to herself. If Lu saw it, she was screwed. Maybe she'd dropped it on her way in.
Lia headed out into the cargo bay and saw Mal and Inara and someone new. Must be the Sheppard.

:;After Simon and the Man had left the infirmary and she pretended to be out of it. She hid under the table in the infirmary for a bit. Then she found herself crawling toward the cargo bay. Standing woozily she looked around and hid behind some crates. Taking in all the people there. Inara, Book, Some pretty woman she never met but she didn;t see Mal::
