Mattie just shook her head. She couldn’t move while the man was doing her tattoo. She didn’t want to ruin it, or worse, anger the man working on her artwork. So, she waited. Oh, she glared at Jayne, making it known that he was humped, but she didn’t move. Not yet. “Oh, you wait. I’ll get you. I have to get down from this chair sometime.”



River stepped to the side, chuckling. “Nooo, I won’t protect you.” She crossed her arms and went to stand by Theo. “Some battles, Jayne, you have to fight on your own.”

River grinned. Jayne was not the big bad toughie that he gave off as an exterior. He loved her, and he loved his sister, more than anything. His heart was bigger than others gave him credit for. She just wished that others could see what her and Mattie saw.

"Well gee, this is just right cozifyin," Theo smirked. "Jayne Cobb, iffin the pay's right, I could be persuaded ta save ya from the 'lil devil.' Who knows, might be fun. Hell, second thought, I'll do it fer free." This sort of comradery did just make him feel all warm and fuzzy inside. It could still have been the lingering alcohol, but he did enjoy a night of not getting shot at.

::Jayne looked up and noticed someone from his past that owed him a big favor. A weaselly little troll that really screwed him over. He kissed Mattie on her temple but didn't say much else but a mumbled "righ' back, Mattie Pie" and walked toward the man and out the door. He tracked the guy for a few moments until he snatched him up by the collar and threw him in an alley. Gun barrel pressed under his chin::

Well, ain't this a happy reunion Joe. Ya owe me summin'

::he reminded the smaller man by pushing him hard into the brick wall and pushing the barrel of his gun harder under his chin::

I got a celebration ta be had.. an' it will be had. I wan' my share a tha' job, wan' it now! Know ya got it.

Joe: Jjjjjj...jjjjayne... I didn't.. I couldn't. We were friends.. Right?

::Jayne slammed him up against the wall again::

Ain't friends Joe.. I got a nice shiny scar ta prove it. Wan' the percentage.. Wan' it righ' now. Yer gunna give it ta me.

I know ya got it ya stingy bastard. Ya nev'a spend it on nuttin'. Not even a bath :; Jayne scrunched up his nose in disgust:: Ya smell like an outhouse as usual.
MY MONEY! NOW! ::he commanded::

::Jayne hoped no one inside the parlor got the bright idea to follow him out here when it would only be a few minutes for him to finish up his business and be done with it::
